I am completely new to MS 2000 Server, so this might be simple...

I have webpages under the inetpub/ folder, and if I go to with my browser (Netscape 6) they show up just fine. But when I try giving my ip to the browser I get 'connection refused when talking to...' I have all security settings etc. on default. I have a dynamic ip-address. So far I haven't found anything in the Help files that would solve this problem.

Any help is much appreciated,

Mats

You mentioned that you have a dynamic IP.
Does that mean that you have a cable connection (or xDSL ?)
Are you sure that your ISP isn't blocking port 80 ?
Try running your webserver on a different port, and type in the netscape browser

Hope this helps Peter Van Eeckhoutte

Nope, didn't help...

I have cable connection to my ISP (LAN). When running WIN 98 and using Apache it worked fine, but when I upgraded to Win2k I no longer got it to work with Apache - so I upgraded to Win2k advanced server... and now I'm lost!

No luck with port:8080 either...

I'm sure the problem is elementary, but I just can't figure it out.

Thanks for all your help so far.
