We are using Legato 5.5.2; we have NT and Netware clients. For the last 4 days we have gotten "connection refused" on 2 of our Netware 4 servers; other Netware 4 servers are being backed up. I have tried reconnecting the client and restarting the job, adding the domain name to aliases field, checking host table, rebooting server, changing speed and duplex of adapter on server.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

connection refused is almost always a password issue - check the username and password that the backup server is using to connect to the client. In the remote access field enter *@* for a test also

has the legato account been disabled, or its rights changed, we used to have similar problems with network connectivity, and changed the binding order of the NIC's so that the backup NIC was first. Also try unloading the nlm's and recycle Networker on the Novell server.
