I cannot connect a new XP Pro system to the server (Windows Server 2000, Lotus Domino) by log on. I can see the server, and other computers. I can map a drive to the identity it needs to connect to. I can do it all EXCEPT log on to the server at start up. The error says something like: the local machine cannot find the id path, and that it is attempting to log on as a temp id, and no changes will be saved.

Our IBM software provider doesn't know how to get the connection through either.

Any suggestions?

R U using roaming profiles? If so check the permissions on your profiles folder. It looks like the XP machines are trying to write to a read-only resource.

Yes, we do. I will check that immediately. Thank you.
