My mind says this should be simple, but I am drawing a blank:

I have two tables, both with exactly the same fields: Table_New and Table_Old
Table_Old is an archived table of Table_New

How do I connect the two into a query getting all records from both tables?

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks
Rainer

You would not want to connect them "horizontally".

You would connect them vertically with a UNION query.

SELECT Field1, Field2,...
FROM Table_New
UNION ALL
SELECT Field1, Field2,...
FROM Table_Old;
