Hi, i'd like to know of a way to connect a cisco 2500 to a cisco 4500, back to back...
Any other way besides using the AUX...
Any ideas?? Thanks... I have not failed; I have merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

Depending on what interfaces the 4500 and which model of the 2500 series you have one of the following should work.

Method 1

If each router has a serial interface connect them via serial cables. Make sure they are of the same EIA standard (ex. RS-232, V.35). One needs to be DCE and the other DTE. On the config make sure the DCE side is supplying clock.

Method 2

If each router has an ethernet port connect them via a crossover cable.
