I have two separate DSL networks, in different locations (approx. 3 miles apart) from different service providers. Is there a way to connect them?

You may wish to look at the idea of a VPN.

I have used router to router (where the router is the endpoint, not just pass through)IPSEC VPNs very happily.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Thank you. I'm pretty new to anything other than routine networking tasks - could you point me to a place where I can find more information about IPSEC VPNs?

Thanks again! Hopefully this will solve my issue.
