Connecting to SQL 2000 Server running a SQL 7 database...

I have an SQL 7 Database running on SQL 2000 on my computer. I'm trying to connect to the same database on a server through Data Sources (ODBC) but it doesn't work.
On another computer that has an older version of the SQL Server driver it connects and works. How would I "down-grade" or get the older driver on my computer up and working?

I'm unclear what you mean. How are you running a SQL 7 DB on SQL 2000? Did you mean Windows 2000? Or do you mean you are running an instance of SQL 7 and an instance of SQL 2000 on teh same server? Or do you have some other meaning?

What versions of ODBC and MDAC are installed on the computers? Which SQL driver is in use? Which network library in use on each computer including the SQL Server? What happens when you try to connect? Do you get a message - some error? Terry L. Broadbent - DBA

I have SQL 2000 on my machine. SQL 2000 has a SQL 7 Database running on it. So I can access the SQL 7 database through SQL 2000. The driver I have is version 2000.80.528.00, on the microsoft Website it says that this driver does not work with SQL 7. On my other machine I have the driver 3.70.08.21 and it connects over the internet to SQL 7 on a Server just fine, but mine doesn't. How would IO change my driver to work with SQL 7?
