Connecting to local Analysis Server on XP

I am trying to connect to my local analysis server. I am running Win XP Pro. I am already part of the OLAP Admin group and have all the access i need. The problem is that ]whenever I restart me computer I connect to analysis but when if I close and reopen analysis then I get an error "Unable to connect to the registry on the server (SERVER), or you are not a member of the OLAP Administrators group on this server.

Do you have all of the latest SQL and SQL:AS patches?

I had tons of probs with the default installation of SQL:AS until I applied all of the most revent patches.

I had the same problems when SP 3 wasn't applied.
