I downloaded and istalled the odbc driver for InterBase 6
I created a DSN and tested ok.
But when i try to created a data source on MS Word or Excel and i select the DSN that i created early i get a message that says:
"Unable to obtain list of table from the data source"
I get the same message in MS Word and Excel.
I try 4 ODBC drivers so far an all of them give the same error.
Any idea?
Please help me?

We have been struggling with the same problem. Intersolv drivers did not seem to work. Finally we bought drivers through Easysoft and they work okay.
Strangely other drivers sometimes did manage to fetch system tables but no datatables, others couldn't fetch anything.......

The version of the OLEDB driver (SIBProvider) we have, could not work with the version of Crystal Reports we have (Ver. 7) so we had to either purchase the new SIBProvider or the Easysoft driver or the new Crystal Reports.
Mixed case table names were not picked up using other drivers and we couldn't report off Stored Procedures with parameters (strangely enough).
Some drivers acted very weird when put extensively through their paces on our development server.
