Connecting to ASE12.5 from OCS 12.0

Hi,
I have my Sybase server ASE 12.5 installed on linux.and my client is 12.0 on Windows 2000. I am using CT API to connect to the server. But I am getting an error when I use ct_connect(..). How can I resolve it?

I am getting an assertion saying "Privileged Instruction".
