greetings!

i have 4 10/100 switches that i want to interconnect. what is the right way to do it. what port connect sto what port on the other switch.

thanks

If they are switches without any specific means of interconnect then any port to any port with a crossover cable (unless they have autosense.

keep in mind if there is a uplink port it is usually linked to the port next to it so that port is disabled if you use the uplink port.

I usually tape over that port so someone doesnt come along later and plug into it

thanks!

which is better to use the uplink port or port 1. i'm using dlink switches (24 have uplink ports but the 16 port dont have any)
