I am looking for a way to view and edit Exchange Server data through SQL Server 2000. I idea behind this is to have the ability to run queries on the data. Has anyone connected the two servers before?

Are you sure? In the time since my last post, I've come across documentation saying it's possible as long as both products are located on the same server. Admittedly this documentation discusses linking to Exchange 2000, but I cannot believe Microsoft would remove this handy feature.

ok, to clarify, AFAIK you can only access the AD parts of Exchange, not the "data" such as emails.

You need to login as each person though.

If this is no longer the case, I may have to eat my words!
