Yes, it's possible. I used to have two 2500 routers back-to-back with DB60 / V.35 serial cables that I used for testing and experimentation.
Now, you will need to set the serial interface on one of the routers as the DCE by setting a clock rate (I used 64000). Leave the serial interface on the other router as the DTE, and make sure both sides are using the same encapsulation.
Experience is a tough teacher.
The test comes first, the lesson comes later...
I'm sorry, maybe I should've clarified. I want to connect to the T1DSU/CSU WIC on each router. Is this possible and over what media, crossover, straight through ?
Yes you can connect two CSU DS1 interfaces directly to each other. You will need to cross-over the cables.

So from this you can see that you will need to cross 1-4 and 2-5. It's easy to remember because it's lower-number to lower-number. Straigh-through-Ethernet CAT5 is compatible with straigh-through-T1, so patch cables are inter-changeable.
It is possible you will need to adjust LBO (line build-out) on one or more of them. Also a cable that is very short might pose issues. Just some things to keep in mind.
