Connecting Nortel to Avaya S8700

HI,

Dose anyone have a pri connected from the avaya s8700 to a nortel 81c. What I need is the programming for the PRI on the NORTEL side. Thanks in advance

You don't mention what the T1 will be used for. You can program it as a strait PRI and match the PRI settings with the Avaya settings. If you are looking to integrate the two systems with name display, centralized voicemail etc etc you will need QSIG on both sides and that can get more complex

The PRI will be used for voice traffic only. At this time each site supports its own voice mail system. I have put in a lot of PRIS between Nortel PBXs, but never to the AVAYA. I was wondering about the IFC . At this time I have it set up for SL1. Here is the RDB, This is basically the way I set them up between the option 81 c and a option 11

SL1 will not work, Try NI2 first, or ESS5 or ESS4. SL1 is a nortel proprietary interface. Good Luck

You need to use QSIG to connect the 2 PBX's(Nortel to Avaya). This is similar to NI2 but on a PBX level.
