Connecting KX-T7640 DSS Failed

Hi Guys

I want to connect KX-T7640 to an Extension on kx-TDA 600 , I follow the manual , changed the ( DPT Type -Type ) to DSS

and when I go to 4.3 ( Extension- Dss cosole ---- Pair Extension ) on the PBX unified maintenance console I could not find the extension I have chosen

after I changed the Extention DPT type from Normal to DSS it stopped working and the KX-T7640 does not work

Did I do somthing wrong ?

when you select the dss as dss 1, then when pairing the dss you select dss 1 and pair to extension number it is to work with

I have done the same but I could not find the pair extension I have selected in the slot extension type

The paired extension number is not the dss number. In that box is the extension that will work with the dss attached

So if the operators phone extension is 1001 and the dss is to work with that phone 1001 is the paired extension in the box

Why I have to go on configuration -- slot -- port property- Extension port --- DPT Type - Type and changed from Normal to DSS

By the way after I do the previous action the number is statues went from OUS to Fault so what I have to do

if it shows fault it is because it is not connected. you can figure the slot to dss then in dss settings you tell the dss port you setup what phone it will work with

finally I got it work . My fault was that I connected the DSS as XDP not direct
