I am trying to connect a 9650 phone locate at site A to a PBX/clan at site B. Does anyone have any steps or procedures. The reasoning for doing this is to see how the calls are routing at that location. I have an IP address from the location B however the phone sits at the "Discover" screen.

It sounds like you have a routing issue on your data network or VLAN. If the remote site is not set up properly for the phone to get it's network values, you would have to hard code them during the start up to get the phone to register to CM. In the data switch it is very important that your option 242 settings are correct or you will not get past the switch or the routers.

clear the phone then assign a static IP. Try that. If you still cant log in, can you ping the remote Clan from your desk at site B?
