Connecting a Subreport with store procedure to the Main report

I have a subreport that has store procedure parameters that I want to link to the main report. These stored procedures parameters are:
BegPer
Endper
Right now when I insert the subreport and then refresh the report it prompts me to choose date parameters for both the main and the subreport. I want to link the reports in a way that I will only be promted once to enter date parameters. No one else here in the office has ever experienced this so I was hoping someone could shed some light on it. Thanks!!

What version of Crystal are you using?

I'm using version 8.5

Right click the subreport you want linked to your main report and select Change Subreport Links...

From there, select the fields in your main report that you want linked to your subreport and move them to the Field(s) to link to:. Then, select the appropriate parameter fields from the drop down list ( ?<parameter> ).
