Connecting a Passport 8600 routing switch to edge routers

Anyone has done this recently? I have to get a Cisco 2600 router to talk with a Passport 8600 routing switch.

I want to know what protocols are / should be involved.

As long as you stay away form the Cisco proprietary protocols you will have no problem. OSPF is probably your best choice.

Worked great; Thanks. The Cisco was asking for IGRP and unless someone enters NO they get no RIP option.
