any one ever done this? cleint doesnt have available CO Line port to connect valcom door phone and valcom door phone controller to. Called valcom and they say you cant connect it to a analog station port cause the door phone cant dial. But a sible line set can be a hotline station - any chance anyone has got this working? I suspect IPO in partner mode would do it but its a 406 R4.2 -- suggestions?

Connecting a DoorPhone to Analog Station Port?

if the Valcom can only interface to a ATM trunk then you can't use it on a analog station port.
if the Valcom can interface with a analog station port then create a user with a telephone number equal as the hardware base number, in the user settings navigate to shortcodes and add a shortcode:
SC = ?D
TN = the station or group that needs to be called when the Valcom goes off hook
Action = Dial Extension
Line ID = 0
If the Valcom supports "disconnect clear" then define the analog port as a IVR port.

fedphone- The only Valcom doorplate speaker that will connect directly to an analog station port is the V-5324004. The button press on this doorplate speaker will emulate a phone going off-hook. The station port will need to be programmed for ringdown; whereas, the phone system will automatically ring another station (extension) within the building. If this functionality is not available on the phone system, we do offer another solution that will dial an outbound number once pressed. The V-5324001 is a Universal DoorPhone Controller and comes with a doorplate speaker. This unit is capable of storing two phone numbers, which can be dialed when the doorplate button is pressed.
