hello i've connected my laptop that had a PCMCIA card with a normal PC with network card via a cross cable,
but i don't know what is the configuration that i have to do to make the 2 PCs communicate together.
can somebody explain me clear how to configurate the 2 PCs.
thank you

If you're using Windows (in this case 2000): 'Make a New Connection' in Network Places, choose 'Connect Directly to Another Computer' and follow the instructions.
You have to have the proper connection cable!
See help in Windows for troubleshooting.

Or buy Laplink or similar software if you do this a lot, again you need a specific cable type.

i searched in the microsoft help but i found no chapter talking about the cross cable, i found only for the cable Null Modem,
can u please explaine me more the steps i have to folow.
thanks a lot
