Connected users to a router

Hi,

using SNMP or any other way, how can I determine how many users are connecting to a router at any one time?

Thanks.
 
I can't tell you the SNMP OID, if there is one, but you can check the mac address table (or arp cache). That will give you a list of MAC addresses that the router has recently seen.
