Help me please. I have just set up a laptop after it was formated and am trying to get all the programs set back up to the way they were.

In outlook 2000 It used to be able to download and send mail over the loacal network when it was connected to it. And it would dial up and connect via modem if the LAN was not connected.

Now that I'm resetting up the Laptop it seems to only want to do one or the other. Connect via the modem all the time or change the settings and then only be able to connect over the LAN.

How do I set it up to sort this out by it's self?

Is this an OUTLOOK 2000 setup thing or general internet connection thing?

The Operating System is ME

Please Help me as the Laptop belongs to my Boss.

Sorry Worked out the Problem.
You can setup up Outlook to connect via modem if LAN is not available only if Outlook is in Internet Only mode.
If It is in Coperate or workgroup mode does'nt have that option.
Also with internet only can set it up to send emails as soon as you click send.

But cannot have outlook interact with ACT 2000
Shit
