Hi, i need help for Intersolv DataDirect ODBC Driver's for Progress. i have Progress 8.2c on WinNT Terminal Server 4.0 and when i tried to connect to database via MS Query (or any other ODBC source) with Data Direct i don't have response from server, i start the "broker" and "proserve" on server side by this statements:

$DLC\bin\oibrkr32.exe -SV -S my_brokr -H my_hosts -N TCP
$DLC\bin\_mprosrv -db my_db -H my_hosts -S my_serv -N TCP -pf my_parameter_file

i have on the client side ProVision 8.2, in both sides i already configurate the services file to look like this:

my_brokr 2500/tcp #broker
my_serv 2501/tcp #server

i configurate this parameters with this information in the ODBC manager.

Some questions:
I need some extra configuration?
i do something wrong when start broker, or when configurate ODBC?

please help me!, is my first time attepting connect Progress via ODBC

P.D. Sorry for the grammar mistakes

According to my knowledge you need to setup some environment Varaibles to access the broker.

They are (Please check them, I can't remember).

PROOIBRKR=<path for the oibrkr32.exe.
PROOIDRVR=<path for the oidrvr32.exe.
Also, u need to set
IDLC=%DLC%
IPROMSGS=%PROMSGS%

for this u need to set DLC and PROMSGS
DLC=<progress install dir>
PROMSGS=%DLC%\PROMSGS

If the broker is running please end the process using the "End Process" of the "Task Manager" and Restart the broker after setting the env variables.

Hope this will help.

Cheers,

Samantha
