I know this is a bit off-topic, but I couldn't find a better place to post this.

Will a USB pen drive style device be accessible from two machines at the same time if it and the two PCs were connected to a USB hub? Or will one of the machines claim it as its own and will not give up control until its disconnected? I have to use it as a buffer between the two machines for file transfer(no other method is available/possible under our current setup) and would like to prevent myself from having to physically connect/disconnect and mount/unmount the device if at all possible.

Thanks,

len
