Connect to PWS 2

Hi,

I purchased VS6 and am happy except...

When I try to make a new project with Visual Interdev it can't find my server. The drop down menu is empty.
I am running personal web server on Windows 98.

On your development machine, look in Control Panel under Networking/Identification, and give your machine a name. This name will turn up later in the servername section of VID.

My server name is Bob. It is not included in the drop down box when creating a new VID project. When I type it in, my PC thinks for 30 seconds and responds "Unable to contact server" If I type a dummy string like "bobbtdf" it responds immediatly with the same "Unable to contact server"
Should I use the PC DSN? eg "10.4.100.123"
I tried to use "

http://bob/"

but it responds with something like "server name cannot include invalid characters."

I was thinking maybe reinstall frontpafge extensions again.

If Interdev and PWS are installed on the same computer, type "localhost".
