I have searched for and not found any articles on how to set up a Linux (Debian Lenny) guest so I can use RDP to connect.

I know, I know, why would I want to use RDP to connect when I could use VNC or anything else? I've got a Wyse WinTerm 3125 that only knows RDP and the Citrix ICA.

When searching I found plenty of ways for a Linux host to use RDP to connect to a Windows guest, but I want to go the other way around.

I would also be open to using the Citrix ICA to connect to my Linux box if that also works.

Thanks!

Did you read the install.txt before you started? It says:

Code:
Things you need to compile and install. Most systems don't
have these installed by default.
  gcc and make
  Header files for pam
  Header files for openssl

So you now have the OpenSSL headers, but you still need the ones for PAM.

Yeah, rookie move, I guess. I did read that, but didn't really understand what it was asking. I'm not so experienced with building, grew up with Windoze where it was pretty much all spoon fed. I much appreciate your taking time to look this over and tell me what I was missing. I'll go find the pam headers and re-make and see what happens.

Gee, what do you know, no errors that time through. Good lesson for me. Thanks again for your help. Now I can finish the configuration of this and hopefully it works. Which I'm sure it will :)

Great... please post your results, I'm keen to know how well xrdp works (but obviously can't be bothered to test myself...) ;-)
