Hi all,

I have an NT4 server with IIS 4.0 installed and has an internet connection over the lan.
Following situation : I have a fixed ip address "A" with a Xdsl connection, I have a router(192.168.0.1) and then on the lan I have that webserver(192.168.0.35). What I want to do is make that webserver visible on the web using that ip address. Is it possible to explain it how to do this? links , ...

thnx in advance

Deerfield has a product called dns2go that will let you get to your local site via the internet. However, you can't use that IP address.

Not sure why you want to broadcast a private IP address, but you can also build a 1 to 1 NAT in the dsl router if it is supported. Then you will be able to see the name of the server and also the IP. One nice thing about my Windows 2000 box at home is I am using a dsl SOHO and when do an nslookup it will show both public and priate IP addresses, but I am not happy about the private thing.

1.)You can setup a second IP (public 192.168.0.10)
2.) In webserver you can make a access denied for your private und localhost IP.
3. The second IP can you setup to be free accesible.
4. The best Dynamic Hosting Provider is:
(they can hosting your Webserver,FTP-Server and Mailserver very simple and for DNS Update they have a very pretty Client.
