Connect to a server 3

I am having trouble connecting to my server using backup exec.

First when I try to 2x on the BE application it asks me to log in. There are 4 fields that I must fill out. The are: 1. the server name, 2. the user name, 3. the password, and 4. the network name.

When I fill out everything except for the server name, I get a message "The network name cannot be found"

When I fill out every field, including the server name, I get a message "Application system service not responding."

Then it says, "You have not connected to a back up server. Would you like to exit application?"

All I want to do is be able to open the program again and back up my workstaitons but I can get past the 'login' screen.

Check in services that all the backup exec services are started.

If they are, what version are you running? Do you have more than 1 backup exec server?

I had this same issue.

During a security check, it was revealed that Bservice had a simple password. I changed password not realizing that I had to update the password in Services.

Your information set me on the right path.
