connect method

I put my connection information into a text box.
then passed that to the .connect property
The minimum is...
.connect="DSN=myodbc;uid=me;pwd=mypassword;"
if no password, then pwd=; is required.
Is the ODBC set up correctly?
Has the client been loaded?
What data source are you using?

Plz complete way to use ocx .connect method from vb.
.connect= DSN = server name;UID = userID;PWD = password;DSQ =database qualifier
didn't work.
