I know it's sacrilege, but my Powerbook 160 died and I received a donated PC computer. I would like to connect the Stylewriter to the PC so that I don't have to buy a new printer: the Stylewriter is just fine. Are there cables and drivers out there that can do the trick?

Not too likely. There used to be some adapters to allow use of parallel-port printers with Macs, but I was never aware of any that allowed the Apple serial port printers to work on a PC.

You may want to check Goodwill or similar for an old PC printer.

the problem is that an apple printer has no text mode, it is all 'drawings' in a language called Quickdraw, which Apple invented. I am unaware of any quickdraw drivers for any PC, sorry. The older imagewriters hada draft mode, which was just text, you sometimes find Imagewriters drivers for windows, but only in the draft mode. (ugly) I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Thank you for your responses. I got the technical info that answered my question. It helped me feel better about buying a new printer and not wasting a huge amount of time trying to make the old one work when it is not possible.
