I'm repairing I2004/2. For testing them I'm usung a BCM50. Some phones worked well with BCM400 or higher but they are not working at all with the BCM50. They stop with "Starting DHCP..." or "Cannot locate Server"...
Thanks
David

Are you using the global registration password, and allowing set registration? Or manually setting up the phone? I have had that problem in the past, and manually usually fix's it.

Good Luck

David, you have to check the DCHP settings on your BCM50 and the "allow registration" button in the IP sets resources.
If the DHCP server, on your bcm 50, is DISABLED then configure the phone manually pushing the 4 button (from left to right) under the display when the phone startup.
Bye!

I had a problem when I first tried to register IP2002/4 phones to a BCM50. I found it was due to the phones bing set to DHCP-Partial. Switching to DHCP-Full cured the problem. The phone settings can be changed by entering the configuration menu via the four soft-keys.
