Connect Access to an Imaging Program

I need to connect Access to an Imaging program, which we have not selected yet. I have a database with a primary key field in every table that ww want to link to a folder and list of documents for the key field and have if retrieved in the viewer. Basically we'll have a form were the primary key is on and click a button to retrieve the related imaged documents in the viewer.
Does anyone or has anyone done something likes this?

I suggest you try and read your post from the perspective of someone who does not know anything about what you are trying to do.
