Hi

After a little help please.

I'm trying to Mirror my Windows 2003 Server's C: with another of the same drives, D: (C: being the Source drive and D: being the destination)

I'm OK with Mirroring because as the info page shows, I've already mirrored E: & E: (was F:)

Info from Computer Management here:
1. When I right click on either drive ('zero' D: & 'one' C:) 'Add Mirror...' is ghosted out

2. The drive I want mirrored (called 'one' C:) is actually in position 'Disk 1' - shouldn't this be in 'Disk 0' ?

3. Should they both be Dynamic like it shows?

4. After 'Healthy' on both disks 'one' says '(Boot)' and the other 'zero' says '(System)' - is this right?

It won't let me Format the D: (zero / Disk 0)

Any help on this matter would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

When you set up a mirror, one of the disks has to be empty, with no drive letter.

And the other potential complication in your situation is that the D: drive is identified as the System drive. If you can blow away the volume you've created on D: and leave it totally empty, then you should be able to select it along with the C: drive and the "Mirror" option will be available to you.
