Confused with password resetting 1

Recently I run into a situation: after reset password for one of user's voice mail through IP Office manager and access this mailbox with new password but got "incorrect login" respond. double checked both manager and VM Pro client and everything is right. so what reason could be? this one never happened before.
 
I would try rebooting the VMPro server and give her a try again
 
you can also try just deleting the password and hitting just #
works sometimes

It works to reboot the VM Server. now everything comes back normal. what exactly reason will caused this problem? it seems like there is little communication issue btw IP Office 500 and VM server. anyway, thanks for all of you.
 
Some things are just unexplainable in the Avaya world, just walk away and don't touch it
