conflicts with Imp 6 after installing Series7 1

if either I install Impromptu Series7 on a machine having Impromptu version 6 or on a machine that previously had Impromptu version 6 uninstalled, Series 7 doesn't work (no reaction when trying to start ImpAdmin or ImpUser).

Hi,
1) Uninstall all Cognos software.
2)Check for Cognos instance in the Software section in the registry.
3) Delete these instances.
4) Reinstall the Cognos Software.

It has to work properly.

but I tried this but it didn't work
the platform is windows 2000 professional. I don't know if this makes a difference.
Any other suggestions???
 
Thanks to God I discovered the problem which is:
Cognos Series7 wasn't working while I am setting my locale from the regional settings to Arabic (even though I chose "other locales" during the installation process).
