Hi,

Can there be a conflict of macros written in vb for access as well as excel. Actually, one macro imports particular database from the software application to access (macro in access) and then sends to the excel sheet. Another macro written in excel works on that imported access database and does formatting, printing, creating a .pdf file and saving in both excel and .pdf files.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Raj

Hi,

The macros are not in conflict. However, the results of the Access macro may not be what the Excel macro is expecting.

My experience in this kind of application is to

1. process the data in Access to an Access Table. ie don't do ANYTHING with Excel from Access

2. In excel, go get the data via a query. This can process can be automated in the Workbook_Open event.

A Pull Process is usually better than a Push Process.

Hope this helps :)
