We have the Micros POS 3700 system and when I got to work this morning it reboots and passes the hd check but then the Conflict I/O Port : 278 error pops up.

Any ideas would be great,

Bill

Hi Bill,

I/O Port 278 is a parallel port. You may need to disconnect anything that's hooked into your Micros 3700 server that is using a parallel port, including your printer, bar code reader, etc. If this doesn't fix it, try disabling the parallel port off in Control Panel -> Device Manager, then reboot. If you still get that message, it may be your motherboard.

JC

Be careful when disabling your parallel port. On older Micros systems the software key is connected to the parallel port.
