Configuring snmpd.conf on AIX

Hi,

I did not succeed configured the file smpd.conf on AIX, if someone can help me ?
if someone can send me a model ?
i want to install an NSM 3.1 agent

Were you able to successfully install the agent? If not what error messages did you get durning the install? The snmpd process on AIX will only be used during the initial discovery of the server. If snmp isn't running on the agent machine the object will show up in the map as unclassified. Simply classify the object manually and if you have agents installed and the gwipfltii.dat file is properly configured on the DSM, the agents will be populated on the next polling cycle.

As mentioned in the above answer first verify that O.S snmp is installed or not and up and running or not.Then were you able to install the agent successfully if yes. and can verify with the above steps.
