In the different office applications I use I keep getting a pop-up saying ""Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Profressional 2003, Gathering Information..." and a progress bar appears. I have tried restarting and would of tried re-installing but I do not have the disc on me at the time. Does anyone have any info on why this comes up everytime I use any Office application.

Because the installation is incomplete and it's looking for the rest of it on startup. The easiest way to deal with this is to let it run its course and have the disc ready and available if it asks for it (sometimes it won't depending if it has the files stored locally already).

okay I will try that tomorrow when i get in my office. It's just weird because it went thru the whole installation process and for some reason this keeps popping up. It never asks for the disc at all it just keeps coming up constantly and I dont see it ever going away unless i re-install or repair the installation

If you don't do a complete install it will sometimes do that. Note that a default install is NOT a complete install. Kinda weird, I know.

Yeah I know that the "default" install isn't a complete install because it gives you several options on what type of install you want. The funny thing is I remember doing a complete install and letting it run entirely until it told me it was complete. This isn't the only computer I have this software on so it's strange that I am getting issues with it still. Like I said I will try repairing the install and seeing if that does the job.

thanks bro
