Hi,

I am trying to configure Hotmail account in a client system behind Raptor Firewall 6.5 using Outlook Express but I am getting the following error:

The server does not support the required http methods.

Not Implemented
Configuration:
Account: Hotmail
Server: User name: abc@hotmail.com
Protocol: HTTPMail
Port: 0
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 800ccc3e

If I try this from a system which is directly on the Internet, I am able to download my Hotmail mails.

I have enabled http with SSL ports for the client. Can any one help me in solving my problem??????

Hi

I'm having the same problem. I would also like help!!!

On Symantec site you can find the exact information regarding your issue. Search on "hotmail problem". In essence, Hotmail through Outlook express uses
WebDav components that are not supported on the Raptor firewall if you are using the HTTP proxy. Options are
use the HTTP GSP or upgrade to version 7.0, where WebDav is supported.

Hope this helps!

I was unable to find it. Does anyone have the text with complete instruction.
