I have ISA running as a Proxy Caching Server behind a firewall and want to enable FTP Upload (which the firewall rules will allow).

I believe I have to switch the mode of operation to "Integrated" which will then give me the full FTP Protocol Definition under the Policy Elements.

If I then apply the full FTP Protocol Definition to the User Group configured in Protocol Rules will this then allow FTP Upload to this group ? Or is there someting else I need to do.

The box only has one NIC will it require another in Integrated mode ?

TIA

Have you tried doing an ftp command from a workstation to your server?

like this?

ftp servername

if yes what does it say? If it says something like connection failed then I believe you have to install the ftp service of your Windows box because if you said that your firewall allows that then check first if your ftp service is runnning. You can check it by doing a TCP port scan on your server. If port 21 is open then congratulations you can now ftp to that server.

I hope I answered your question.
