Hey Guys,

I have a customer that needs the flash key on a Polycom to be able to bring in more callers. They say when they hit the flash key, nothing happens. Is there a special setting within the IPO that needs to be changed like flash timer or something?

The way Joe described it works for a regular system phone. For a Polycom if you did it that way everyone would be on hold. You have to make that final conference *47 to join everyone.

On the Polycom while on a call pressing the green dial button performs a flash putting the current call on hold and get dial tone, press another number and wait for a answer then press the green button again and dial either *47 to join the conference or dial *52 to disconnect the current call and go back in the conference.
( from my memory so don't get upset when it is not complete )

Don't know the polycom phones that much but I would think that there should be the option to configure what the conference button does. On Avaya B149 you can configure it to do Flash - Number - Flash - *47 so that you can use the conference button to add many participants to the conference.
