Configuring Exchange In Two Different Domains

Okay, here is what I want to do.

I have a large domain with 3 Exchange 5.5 servers in it. I want to establish a new windows 4.0 domain in a location out of the country. I want to isolate it so that there are no authentication problems with that office. Can I configure a site connector to connect the two exchange servers?

Also, when creating the new exchange server in the other country, is it possible to join the same existing site, or do I have to create a different site?

Here is an example.

Badabing Computer Company
3 Exchange Servers in Bingbang site, running in badabing NT 4.0 domain.
Internet Mail connector running off two of these.

Add exchange server into bababing-rio NT 4.0 domain.
Add exchange server into Bingbang-rio site.
Add in site connector between Bingbang and Bingbang-rio

Is this the simplest way to do this, or is there a simpler way?

Thanks, -David

First off, the Site Connector must be set up by a user account that has permissions on both NT domains. Thus when using a Site Connector in a multiple NT domain scenario you must have a Trust Relationship established. So for example the ExchangeAdmin user acount in NT Domain AA must also be given Exchange permissions in the NT domain BB, so the Site Connector can be added.

Also, if you want to put an Exchange server in NT Domain BB and have it be part of the Exchange Site in NT Domain AA. You must also have a Trust Relationship established. Because the Exchange Service account must be the same for all servers in the Exchange Site.

Good luck!
