I have been running Exchange 2007 at home now for months.. I would like to get Autodiscover properly setup as the popups in Outlook 2007 are getting annoying.
I have a single Exchange 2007 server that uses a self signed cert for SSL.
Internal DNS = mylastname.com
External DNS = mylastnamefamily.com (not hosted by me)
Both OWA and SMTP point to email.mylastnamefamily.com (my static IP)
My hosting company supports SRV records so I would like to go that route.
Do I need to do anything other than have the company that hosts my external DNS create a SRV as follows?
Service: _autodiscover
Protocol: _tcp
Port Number: 443
Host: mail.mylastnamefamily.com
I noticed a mail.mylastnamefamily.com host record does not exist so I will obvious need them to create and point back to my static IP.
Thanks all!
