Hello,

Linux novice, and even more so to Debian and the use of the APT.

What I need to do is to install TikiWiki on a server I have. I see they have a apt package at the following link:

and I would like to use it if possible.

How do I configure my APT to be able to access this package using the APT command (I do not think it is pointing to any unstable packages)?

How can I make it so I get this one apt package in a unstable distribution, but I dont accidentally get unstable apt packages in the future.

Thanks for your help!

Check out section 3.8 in the following link, "How to keep a mixed system" for a specific answer. I've used this method many times for getting specific packages out of unstable (on a stable system).

If you need to add the unstable sources to your /etc/apt/sources.list file, and your apt sources currently look like this:

deb stable main contrib non-free

you'll need to add a source for the unstable repository like this:

deb unstable main contrib non-free
