I hope these instructions help some:Steps:
1. Enter configuration mode
2. Enter the interface that will host a single subinterface or multiple subinterfaces (using subinterfaces is good for later expansion).
*remember the interface cannot have a static address
assigned to it or else subinterfaces wont work.
3. Ecapsulate interface with frame relay:
ie. encap frame (keep blank for (default)Cisco or
enter IETF for other)
4. Exit & Reenter configuration mode.
5. Enter the subinterface number you encapsulated with frame-relay.
6. Supply an IP address for the subinterface:
ie. IP address A.B.C.D submask
7. Supply a DLCI # to the subinterface:
ie. frame interface-dlci #
8. cntrl-z
(I use a lot of short-cut keys instead of spelling out the commands). If you need more info just email me sladewil@pilot.msu.edu.
