I am trying to configure an HP2200DTN on the an AS400.
That printer model doesn't show up as a device type option. So, with a little experimenation, I was able to get the HP2200DN to print correctly when configured as an HP1100.
However, I now have the additional 500 sheet paper tray and the HP1100 device type is no longer valid. (The writer dies when a spool file is sent to it.)
Does anyone know where I can find any info on configuring an hp printer on an AS400?

AS 400 is NOT officially supported by HP´s printers. But you might have luck getting some to work with it. My suggestion is that you look up one of these companies, that makes those interface boxes you connect between the printer and the AS400 system, that compiles the data from AS400 to a language the printer can interpret.

Actually, it has a built in jet direct.
I was finally able to get it to work by configuring it as an HP5Si.
They have a lot of the hp printers in the device list, but I think the HP2200 might just be to new to be included.

Thanks for the suggestion!
