I am in the arny I am trying to setup a hp lj 4000 to be a standalone network printer on an tcp/ip network. I am rrequesting a step by step guide to configuring and inputting a ip address

I am in the Army. I don't type very well, but I am learning. I am a 31U Signal Support Systems Specialist. Thanks for the URL, I figured out that I had to turn the Bootp off, because Bootp automatically detects IP Addresses. I turned it off and afterwards I was able to input Ip, Subnetmask, etc... It was a little trail and error, but it turn out okay.

Don't worry about the typos! We all make mistakes.

I was curious about the MOS because I was a 98G for 14 years and am now a UNIX System Administrator.
