Hello,

I want to configure an extra option in a DHCP Pool. This hast to be an Ip adres for our FTP Server. This is because our Winterm devices have to get their config files from that server. Else i have to do this manualy for each of them. I can now only define predefined options in a DHCP Pool. (default-gateway, network, dns-server etc). In W2k DHCP server you can define user defined options. But i can't figure out how i can do this on a cisco router. I need the option Option: 161 FTP Server with an ip adress. How can i do this or is this not posible.

Hi,

It's possible to add option in cisco router. Use the following command:

(config)#ip dhcp pool <your pool name>
(dhcp-config)#option 161 ip <ip address you want>

Hope that helps
