We have 7 locations throughout the state. Six of these locations are on a Siemen's HiPath 8000 switch and the lone remaining location is a Nortel Option 11C. I am trying to configure a 2nd PRI Card for 4 digit dialing between sites going through a Siemen's RG8702 Gateway.

My problem is that I can not get the 2nd PRI Card to go green. I've configured a "Loop" and set up the Trunks/Routes. I can not seem to get the Clock Controller to go green or get a green status. I am told by Siemen's that there end is complete.

Any help in getting this programmed correctly would be appreciated.

Thank You

Also your second card does not need a clock controller that should already be in place with the first PRI.

So what you're saying is it's ok if the "CC" light on the second card is red?

I also assigned a different route on the 2nd PRI Card than the PRI that connects with Verizon.

Take the CC card off the the second card and just store it some where for the future.

Do I need a D channel for the 2nd card that will be doing the 4 digit dialing between site? I asked because when I try to create my route, it gives me an error that it needs to be digital.

If this is just an addition to the first PRI then you should not have to build a new rout. Just add these trunks to the existing rout that you have.

Yes you will need a D-Channel built, you can build it as Primary like the first or you can build it as Backup to the first. But which ever way you build it make sure that the far end is built the same way.

The 1st PRI is connected to the Telco. The 2nd PRI is strictly for 4 digit dialing between sites via the Siemens RG8702 Gateway.

Would I add the 2nd card to the original loop?

These are going to two different locations, one to the Telco, one to another site, you will need two different routes. You can only send a route to one location not multiple.
When you have this set up/turned up, have you done a stat of the loop in LD 60 to see if it is active? If it is, you will then need to point appropriate traffic to it. To do a basic test, you can dial the ACOD number and add an extension for the remote end, if all is good, it should connect.

I have the loop created in LD 17. I have the RDB built in LD 16. I can not seem to add the route members in LD 14.

I keep receiving the following error:

SCH2034

A digital route is required.

Help

I did not have it built that way. I went back and made those changes. Now when I try to add the route members I receive the following error:

SCH4788

PRI loop is not configured with D channel (DCHI) to provide B-channels.

some of your settings will be different, this is a DCH goling to anotherr M1 on the other end.

In your route you have DTRK set to no, this should be yes to indicate you are using a digital trunk. Do you have another existing digital trunk you can copy from?

OK, changing the "DTRK" to YES worked and it allowed me to create my trunk members.

Now in LD 60 I can not seem to get rid of the red alarm. A test of the hardware comes back OK.

The test of my loop comes back with a:

DTI009 5 Errorcode: 030

I can not find an errorcode 030. The codes list that I have goes from "15", then the next code is "50".

This is what my loop looks like in LD 60
